1998年~2009年NY在住 2001年NY州立PurchaseColege大学院 舞台芸術学科舞踊専攻大学院卒業 MFA修得(Master of Fine Arts) 1998年~平林和子教授に師事 同大学にて和子氏により開講された大学院に編入、そこで教育学としてのダンスコンポジションを専攻、2001年修士号を修得する。同様に平林和子のもと、グラハムテクニックを8年に及び学ぶ。卒業後もルイホーストから継承を受けた平林和子氏につきコンポジションを教える立場としての研究、追及を続ける。(Rouis Horst Dance Composition Method / Kazuko Hirabayashi Choreographic Method)
2001年NY大学主催ダンスギルドにおいて、優秀新人振付賞を受賞。
1999年～2004年スペインにおいて毎年作品を発表、2003年、2004年スペイン国際振付コンクール(produced by Alberto Esbébanez)の審査員を務める。
2005年NYにダンスカンパニーa-core-dance artsを設立。NYで活躍する振付家を集め公演/WSを行うReverb Dance Festivalをニューヨークにおいて設立。
2007年イスラエルのバットシェバ舞踊団の元芸術監督、Ohad Naharin考案のGagaメソッドを日本で広める活動を始め、GAGAJapanを設立、身体能力に対する哲学を追求し、身体への新しい考え方を日本で普及させる活動を行う。ダンス界だけでなく幅広いスタンスでわかりやすく奥深い効力を試みるため、テクニックWS開催、以降日本におけるWS、単独クラス企画を継続、近年においては大学の教育期間の中でのテクニックの繁栄に力を入れる。
2022年よりBurgos&NYInternational Choreographic Competition (スペイン国際振付コンクール）において,WS講師/審査員のとして招聘、現在に至る。
これまでWSを開催した場所として、神戸オルビスホール、東京ARCHITANZアーキタンツ、愛知芸術劇場、北九州芸術劇場、京都芸術センター、横浜赤レンガ倉庫、神戸db、武庫川女子大学、神戸大学、中京大学、神戸女学院大学、その他数多くの機関で教える。
近年おいて、長内真理氏のWSを通して野口体操の真髄を追求、Gagaの持つソマテックの要素との関連を深め新たなListning Body Classを考案、現在は平林和子より学んだGrahamテクニックと同様に、ダンサーのテクニッククラスとしてクラスを開講している。

Lived in New York from 1998 to 2009. Earned an MFA (Master of Fine Arts) in Dance from the Conservatory of Dance at Purchase College, State University of New York (SUNY) in 2001. Studied under Professor Kazuko Hirabayashi starting in 1998; transferred into the graduate program she established at the college, majoring in dance composition as an academic discipline, and obtained a master’s degree in 2001. Also studied Graham technique under Hirabayashi for eight years. Following graduation, continued to research and pursue the teaching of composition under Hirabayashi—who inherited the methods of Louis Horst—focusing on the Louis Horst Dance Composition Method and the Kazuko Hirabayashi Choreographic Method.
Won the Outstanding Emerging Choreographer Award at the Dance Guild event hosted by New York University in 2001.
Presented works annually in Spain from 1999 to 2004 and served as a judge for the Spanish International Choreographic Competition in 2003 and 2004.
Founded the dance company “a-core-dance arts” in New York in 2005. Established the Reverb Dance Festival in New York, bringing together active choreographers to present performances and workshops.
In 2007, began activities to introduce the “Gaga” movement language—developed by Ohad Naharin, former artistic director of Israel’s Batsheva Dance Company—to Japan; founded GAGA Japan. Dedicated to exploring philosophies regarding physical potential and promoting a new perspective on the body within Japan. To share these profound yet accessible benefits with a broad audience beyond the dance community, organized technique workshops and has continued to plan workshops and independent classes across Japan; in recent years, has focused on integrating these techniques into university-level dance education.
Since 2022, has been invited to serve as a workshop instructor and judge for the Burgos & New York International Choreographic Competition (Spain produced by Alberto Esbébanez), a role held to the present day.
Workshops have been held at numerous venues and institutions, including Kobe Orbis Hall, Architanz (Tokyo), Aichi Prefectural Art Theater, Kitakyushu Performing Arts Center, Kyoto Art Center, Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, Kobe db, Mukogawa Women’s University, Kobe University, Chukyo University, and Kobe College.
While active as a dancer, choreographer, and producer, she pursued serious yoga training and discovered “Aroma Chakra Yoga.” She has instructed many students using her unique sequencing and flow of yoga poses, garnering a strong following in Japan. Her work extends beyond standard classes to include psychology sessions and lectures aimed at mental conditioning for a renowned high school baseball team. She also explores the mind-body connection inherent in Aroma Chakra Yoga through classes in medical settings for expectant mothers and by serving as a guest instructor at medical industry seminars.
In recent years, she has delved into the essence of Noguchi gymnastic through workshops with Mari Osanai and explored its connections to the somatic elements of Gaga, leading to the creation of a new “Listening Body Class.” She currently offers this class—alongside Graham technique classes learned from Kazuko Hirabayashi—as part of her technical training curriculum for dancers.
